Bridesmaid Necklace Size and Help

Bridesmaid Necklace Sizing Help

With different size women and various styles of necklines, measuring for your bridesmaid necklaces can be a trick task.  Use our helpful tips and information below to find the perfect size necklace for each of your bridesmaids.

Measuring For Size: When picking the length of your necklace there are a few methods to assist you in figuring out the size needed.

1.  Take a necklace that you already like the way it lays around your neck and measure that end to end.

2.  Take a piece of string or thread, wrap it around the neck the way you want the necklace to sit, and measure that.

3.  Keep in mind for any pendant style or y drop style necklaces that when selecting your length, you need to consider the length of the pendant in your size.  The pendant will dangle down FROM the length you order the necklace in – it is NOT calculated in the length.

NOTE: We make our necklaces to measure from END TO END – INCLUDING the clasps.  Please keep this in mind when selecting your size.
When You’re Not Sure of Length: Sometimes brides are not able to ask their bridesmaids for their sizes.  Whether it’s because the jewelry is a gift and a surprise or it would be uncomfortable to ask the size – you’ll have to pick a size – and we have a great option:  Extender Chains!

Extender Chain: Extender chains are an excellent upgrade when ordering your necklaces if you are unsure of the size needed.  This also works well when ordering for a group of people or bridesmaids that have all different sizes. You can pick the smaller size necklace and then add a 1″ – 5″ extender chain for adjustability.  An adjustable fit is a custom fit that works with any size and style.

Bridesmaid Earring Style Options

Selecting your Bridesmaids Earrings Styles

Once you’ve found the perfect pair of earrings for your bridesmaids to wear, you’ll need to pick what style of earring you’ll have.  By style we mean, posts, cubic zircon french hooks, clip ons, etc.  Below we’ve illustrated the options you have in both sterling silver and 14k gold filled metal when selecting your bridesmaid earrings.

Bridesmaid Bracelet Size Tips & Suggestions

When you’re ready to order your bridesmaids bracelets, you’ll need to select your bracelet size.  Because not all women are the same size, their bracelets shouldn’t be either.  Here’s some tips on how to choose your bridesmaid bracelet sizes.
Measuring Your Wrist: There are a couple of methods you can use to get the perfect bracelet size.

1.   Take a bracelet you already like the length of and measure it end to end.

2.  Take a loose measuring tape and wrap it around your wrist how you want the bracelet to fit, then take that measurement.

3.  Take a piece of string or thread, wrap it around your wrist the way you want it to fit, then measure that end to end.

When selecting your measurement, please note that we custom make your bracelet with the size you select, which includes the clasps, from end to end.

Extender Chains vs. No Extender Chains: On all of our bridesmaid bracelet selections, you’ll have the chance to upgrade and add an extender chain.  An extender chain is a cable style chain that is made right in with the bracelet.  It adds an adjustable element to the bracelet.

Positives of Extender Chains:

a.  If you are buying for a group of women, who all have different size wrists, you can order the smallest size and add extender chains to them all – this way you’ll receive the “quantity discount” on our website for ordering the exact same item.

b.  If you are unsure of your bridesmaids wrist sizes and want to keep the jewelry a surprise/secret, this is a wonderful way of getting them a jewelry gift that includes adjustable sizing, so not to offend anyone on their own size and to be sure they have an accessory they can wear.

c.  It is cheaper to upgrade to the extender chain while customizing your bracelet when ordering, versus getting the jewelry in the mail and realizing that the bracelets are too small.  Leaving you sending them back for restringing – which costs extra, or ordering extender chains separate – which are more expensive to purchase after the fact (because they require more materials to make them separate – we have to charge more).

Negatives of Extender Chains: We really don’t see a negative in an extender chain.  Some brides prefer not to have a chain “dangling” on their bridesmaids wrists – but we do finish all of our extender chains with color coordinated pearl and crystal drops that match the bracelet you’ve customized.

Check out our Illustrations below of bracelets that have extender chains vs. ones that don’t:

Matching your bridesmaids dress color to bridesmaids jewelry

At BonitaJ.com we use Swarovski brand crystals and pearls for all of our bridesmaid jewelry designs.  Swarovski provides a high quality finish like no other material.  One of the benefits of using Swarovski brand crystals and pearls for our bridesmaids, bridal and flowergirl jewelry selections is the vast array of pearl and crystal colors they offer.  This is beneficial to our brides, because matching your bridesmaids jewelry to your bridesmaids dresses is easy to do.

Since we offer all of the colors that Swarovski offers in their pearls and crystals – if a color is available in a bead in a certain size or shape – we’ve got it covered.  If you happen to not see a color that you want – it’s because Swarovski does not make that color in that shape and size bead.

With over 30 pearl color options and over 150 crystal color options – there is a color to match every bridesmaid gown out there.  If you are attempting to match your bridesmaids dress color to your bridesmaids jewelry and are just not sure what color will make the right color coordination…you can count on us.  Feel free to call, email (info@bonitaj.com) or chat with us about your bridesmaids dress and the color scheme you are looking to acheive.  We will do our very best to suggest a selection of crystal and pearl color options that will match or coordinate with your color scheme or bridesmaids dresses.  We will take a look at the very dress your bridesmaids are wearing  – you just need to let us know the designer and the actual name of the color of the dress.

Another great way to be 100% certain that your bridesmaids jewelry matches your bridesmaids gowns is to order color samples.  Color samples are almost free and you can select our free standard shipping to make your sample order even more affordable.  Even though we offer free shipping – which takes about 14 – 21 days to arrive – we also offer priority shipping and rush shipping if you’re really in a bind for time.  This is a great way to see the crystals and pearls in person and match them to your bridesmaids gowns and color pallet right in front of your own eyes.

BonitaJ.com strives to offer a couture, affordable and fun method of customizing your bridesmaids jewelry to your wedding theme, colors and gowns.  If there is anything you may have questions about – please contact us 888-430-2623 info@bonitaj.com or via chat….we are always here to help you check another item off of your long list of “to dos” before the “I Do’s”.
